Ultimate blindfolded-like team solve
Okay, let's start it and see if we can find a solution without any concertation. I would propose the following rules :
- each of us can add up to 4 moves to the current partial solution. Gilles, your slice moves count as one move
- one can propose moves that undo one or more moves
- when one has added some moves to the partial solution, any other team member can continue (otherwise it might be a bit long ...)
- one can add premoves (or setup moves) before the scramble. This counts as one move.
- I claim we can use FMC companion here : http://www.necrophagous.co.uk/cubestati ... mccomp.php to avoid too much scrambling ...
Have fun !
Start is :
F R2 U' D'

This rule should be removed, or else it's easier with 1 player, and the others just submit very useful sequences like (RR'RR')
I propose B' U B U2. Which looks a lot like a Roux method position to me.
That's 4 edges left after 24 moves. I found an insertion for those after move 19 that resulted in 34 HTM total (32 slicewise). There may well be better things for the more edge aware cuber. I know a total of 5 basic edge algs.
Full thing from move 19: U L' [B2 F2] R2 D R2 [F2 B2] L2 U F U F' L'
What?? We didn't discuss any insertion rules!

Hey Lars, you speak too much , we should not add too many moves (but you're right, we didn't discuss insertions ... )
I think I understood what Gilles wanted to explain, I was really amazed that there is such a good finish to our 3-brains solutions ... oooops I should not speak too much either
(FR2U'D') (F'R2F2L') (U'LUL') (FL'F2U') (F2U'L'U) (B' U B U2) (L'B'U'B
So Gilles, it's your turn ! I hope I got it right !

... when I proposed this rule, I was thinking about counting the moves like RR'RR' as four moves HTM ... Yes, it's the hard way 8)This rule should be removed, or else it's easier with 1 player, and the others just submit very useful sequences like (RR'RR')
